Sona Masuri is a lightweight and aromatic medium-grain rice which is the result of a cross combination of the rice varieties Sona and Mahsuri. It is grown largely in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. Sona masoori rice come from its carbohydrate content. That same 45-gram serving of dry rice contains 35 grams of carbohydrates. Sona masoori rice does not contain any fiber. Carbohydrates are an essential nutrient and provides most of your caloric intake

How to Use

Washing the rice, it is best to rinse it under running water. Put your rice to wash in a bowl and hold it under running water. Rub the rice with your hands gently. Rinse it until the water becomes clear. Use a large pan or cooking container, as rice double or triple in volume during cooking. (Dry rice will yield approximately 2-3 times their original amount when cooked.) Bring water to a boil, cover tightly, reduce heat and simmer until rice is completely cooked.
